Hill’s Veterinary Hospital Celebrates 26th Anniversary

Hill’s Veterinary Hospital is celebrating its 26th Anniversary this May since opening its doors in Castro Valley. Dr. Robert A. Hill started practicing medicine in Castro Valley in 1980, before opening his own practice on Redwood Road in 1987.  In addition to his practice, he has given back to the community through career talks at local elementary and middle schools, Career Night Presenter at Castro Valley High School, supports Vannoy Elementary Cougarthon fund raiser, supports local Fix our Feral Spay/Neuter clinics, and encourages cat and dog adoptions by offering free wellness exams to pets adopted through humane societies, shelters, and rescue groups anywhere in the U.S.

The
 Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and Bay Area Development Company are pleased to host a working lunch for small business owners interested in learning more about healthcare compliance, workforce training funds and resources to help grow your business.  A brown bag lunch is included. The program will discuss the following:

  • Will the new health care law affect your business?  Michael Lujan from theHealth Benefit Exchange, newly named as Covered California, will explain how the Act will affect small businesses in California.
  • Would you like to receive money for employee training?  Robert Meyer from the State of California’s Employment Training Panel will describe how small businesses can qualify for this program, which offers small businesses funding for workforce training.
  • What can GO-Biz do for your business?  Barbara A. Vohryzek, Small Business Advocate from GO-Biz, will describe the range of services that GO-Biz provides to business owners.
