Cherryland is part of the unincorporated Eden Area and comprises an area of approximately 1 square mile. It is located north of the City of Hayward, west of Castro Valley, east of San Lorenzo and south of Ashland, an unincorporated area of San Leandro. About 14000 residents call Cherryland their home, one of the densest areas in all of the Bay Area.

2013 Business Expo
Many thanks to the 65 different organizations who participated in our annual Business Expo.

The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and Bay Area Development Company are pleased to host a working lunch for small business owners interested in learning more about healthcare compliance, workforce training funds and resources to help grow your business.  A brown bag lunch is included. The program will discuss the following:

• Will the new health care law affect your business?  Michael Lujan from theHealth Benefit Exchange, newly named as Covered California, will explain how the Act will affect small businesses in California.

• Would you like to receive money for employee training?  Robert Meyer from the State of California’s Employment Training Panel will describe how small businesses can qualify for this program, which offers small businesses funding for workforce training.

• What can GO-Biz do for your business?  Barbara A. Vohryzek, Small Business Advocate from GO-Biz, will describe the range of services that GO-Biz provides to business owners.
