2017 Castro Valley Health & Wellness Career Exploration Day

Castro Valley High School and the Castro Valley Eden Area Chamber of Commerce cordially invite you to Castro Valley High School’s Career Exploration Day on Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 8:30-2:30 pm. 

This year we are focusing on the following: Health, Medicine, Hospital Administration, Trauma, Nursing, Dental, Vision, Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical, First Responders, Social Health Services, Non-Profits, Nutrition, Fitness, Wellness, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Chiropractic, Rehabilitation, Hospice, Home Healthcare, Veterinary Care, Diagnostic Specialists.
 
We are looking for your participation at the Fair to expand student knowledge, educate, share information and resources about careers in the community and inspire students, as our future workforce, to reach their career goals, by learning more about a specific career field or industry.  

PARTICIPANTS: There is no charge to attend this event. This event will provide an opportunity for participants from the community to give back, to be exposed to a future pool of talent, to meet faculty, and to network with other businesses, organizations and agencies from the community.  

As a business or agency, you can use this event to discuss internships, employment and volunteer opportunities you may currently have or will have in the near future.  Student sign up sheets will be provided for each table/participant.

SCHEDULE OF SESSIONS: This year we are allowing flexibility in the schedule for those of you that are not able to attend the entire event.  Your options are as follows:
1. Attend Entire Event
2. Attend Morning Session Only
3. Attend Afternoon Session Only

When registering if you will post your session preference in the 'comment' section, and you will be contacted if there are any questions or further clarification is needed.

Below is the schedule including breaks where students will navigate through the fair by participant table. Classes of students will navigate through the various agency representatives in 25-30 minute segments with two time segments/class periods.

Arrival on Campus: 8:15-8:30 am - School Escorts will greet each participant in the parking lot and provide escort to the venue (parking and building map to be provided at a later date).

SNACKS, LUNCH AND PARKING PERMIT WILL BE PROVIDED by Castro Valley High School.

TABLES & CHAIRS WILL BE PROVIDED by Castro Valley High School Facilities.  Do you need power for your table?  If so, please let us know in the comments section on the registration page. There will be further details as we get closer to the event.
