Student Citizen Awards
The Student Citizen of the Year program celebrates the outstanding achievements of local students who go above and beyond both in and out of the classroom. Organized by the Castro Valley Eden Area Chamber of Commerce, this annual recognition highlights young individuals who demonstrate leadership, kindness, integrity, and a strong commitment to their school and community. Each participating school in the Eden Area selects one student who embodies what it means to be a true citizen.
Honoring Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
The Castro Valley Eden Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor exceptional young leaders through our annual Student Citizen of the Year program.
Each participating school in the Eden Area selects one student who demonstrates outstanding character, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact, both on campus and in the community.
Students are nominated by school staff using a provided criteria list, which highlights involvement in academics, extracurriculars, community service, and personal integrity. Nomination forms are typically sent out in late January, with student names due by early March and bios submitted by the end of March.
This program is a meaningful way to celebrate the next generation of leaders in our community.
